Babies on the table!

February 10, 2012
During one family event at Ryan's parents every time a little one got on the table the big kids would yell "Baby on the table.".....Even at 5:00 in the morning. It is a phrase that has kind of stuck with the family. In our little family we have Babies and many times you will find them on the table.

I guess this is goodbye old pal....

Our toaster we got for our wedding died:( I will miss you!!!

"Baby Hailey"

Febuary 8, 2012

Hailey is my cousin but she is closer to my kids age by a lot! My kids just love her and never refer to her as just Hailey, It is always Baby Hailey, like a title. Hailey and her Mom Kim came for a visit and I couldn't resist taking a few Valentines pictures.

18 months

February 6, 2012
It's hard to believe Levi and Lucy are 18 months old! I must admit I feel bad not writing the cute little once a month updates like I did with Ezra but my life has been too CRAZY for that! 18 months is a big milestone! At our church you get to go to what they call nursery. This means I'm FREE! I get to listen and enjoy church!!! No babies jumping on me or throwing raisins at me:) L&L were given spacial permission to attend nursery a few weeks early because I am teaching at church, They love nursery! They don't cry at all (lots of kids have a hard time leaving mom) and the just have a blast singing songs, eating snacks (their teacher tells me L&L eat all of their snacks before the other kids are even half way through theirs....I guess that's what you get when you are a twin and are always fighting for food!), blowing bubbles and playing ring around the rosie (which they sing...."Ashes, ashes"). These two love to talk! They actually know a lot of real words.....all done, thank you, more, please, apple, mom, dad, papa, Ezra, Ivy, Ashley, egg, eat, up, NO!!!,pee pee, poo poo, bath...I know there are more but I can't think right now. They also say a few phrases....thank you mama, up please, more please mama....there are more again I just can't think of them all right now. Last night Lucy said for the first time (and it was to me) "I U" which means I love you! Remember, Ezra said it the same way. They both love to sing! Happy birthday is the new favorite. They L.O.V.E. food!!!!! If you are in the kitchen they come begging. They like raisins, beans, eggs, fruit, pretzels, string cheese, plain yogurt(no sugar), fruit smoothies, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, meat....just about anything! They have both mastered climbing on top of the table and can also drag a chair to a counter top to get what they want from there. NOTHING is safe! In fact Lucy is currently covered in blue marker. I hide thing and she finds them. Bath time is another favorite thing I enjoy it two because they are both in one place and are not making a mess! Lucy has become interested in the potty chair and sits on it a couple times a day....early potty training??? They love to run around and laugh. They think they are so funny and start to laugh if you are laughing at something. We are still nursing...once a day, I wanted to quite but cold and flu season made me change my mind. They sleep well for the most part although Lucy has recently decided she enjoys getting up at 4 a.m. and there is no getting her back to sleep. They love the park. They love animal especially Levi. At a recent trip to the park Levi was going nuts over the birds. I was so cute because he reminded me so much of Ezra at his age!

These two are definitely double trouble and double fun!!! I LOVE YOU Levi and Lucy!!!!

Zumba Fitness

What is Zumba?

It's a PARTY!!!!.....a workout in disguise......Latin music, Fun and a whole lot of shaking it!

So I've been thinking about becoming a fitness instructor and I've been looking into different fitness programs. Honestly Zumba was not on my list because I kept saying "I'm not a cute little Latin girl!" My Mom went to a Chiropractic convention and Zumba was there. My Mom spoke to the rep. about me and she told my Mom I could definitely do it. I was still sceptical! So I went to visit with the rep, who would also be teaching the instructor class. After talking to her I really felt like it was something I could do if I really wanted to do it and if I worked hard. The rep., Vanessa told me that she was NOT amazing when she started (WHAT???) and she took six weeks after her training to practice before she ever taught a class.

So no excuses!!! You can Zumba.....YES YOU CAN!!! I hear people say...I'm not coordinated or I can't dance or I'll look dumb. Well you do not have to be a good dancer or even be coordinated at all...and no one is looking at you, they are just trying to make sure they are doing it right. If you are shaking it and having fun that's all that matters, you are burning calories!!! And in time you will become more coordinated!

Well I did it...I took the plunge and became a Zumba teacher!!!! I have a lot of practicing to do but I am excited! I am finding it hard to practice with a bunch of little kids! Also we had the flu in our house this last week so that set me back too....But I refuse to be discouraged!!!!! When I teach my first class I will appreciate it even more because of all the extra effort it will take me!

P.S. Did I mention you can burn OVER 1000 calories in 55 minute Zumba class?

33 NEW POSTS!!!!

That's right I've caught up the blog with
33 new posts!!!!
To start at the beginning go back to the "Disneyland" post.
Don't be scared...some of them just have pictures so you don't have to read!

Chair makeover

Chairs are expensive...did you know that? So when you build a table that needs TEN chairs that will cost you TONS of money right??? Nope, it doesn't have to. It will take A LOT of BLOOD, sweat and tears!
Here is what the chairs looked like.....

And here is the after.....

We went with a distressed look to match our rustic farm table.
We paid $37.50 for the 10 chairs at "Restore" and about $40 on the materials for the redo. That makes it less than $10 a chair. Not too bad!
