Father's Day

June 19, 2011

Father's day was nice a quite! I made Ryan breakfast, waffles of course. I also made him chocolate chip cookies. Gifts
Dressed in our Father's Day best!

Cute little guy!

Ryan is a wonderful Daddy!!! Thank you for all you do for us! We love you!!!

Daughter or Dolly?

June 15, 2011

When I was a little girl I loved dressing up any one or anything that would let me. This included my cats. I knew someday I would have a little girl and I would get to put her in cute frilly dresses.

Here is my life sized doll.....

Lucy

Thank you Lucy for being so cooperative while mommy took pictures!

The butterfly wand

June 15, 2011

I found this store that sells some fun stuff so I email some friends to see if they would like to go in together so we could save on shipping. When the order came Ezra fell in love with this..... A butterfly wand.

I told him it was for his friend Scarlett. He was ok with that. He would say "That's Scarlett's!" Yes, he was ok that that wand was for Scarlett but he was wondering where his was and he was getting more and more upset about it. Can you blame the kid? Mom has this toy for some other kid and not you! I told him maybe we could get one for him and the whining stopped, or so I thought. The next morning when he woke up he came out of his room looking for his wand. I guess if I say that maybe we can get something it means I WILL have it by the next morning....who knew. So, melt down! So I did what I had to do......

I made one!

He LOVED it!

Did I mention this was all before 7:00am?

Pictures with Daddy

June 12, 2011

My kids and husband looked so nice this particular Sunday (and with Ryan's work it is very rare that he gets to go to church) so I thought it would be nice to get a cute picture of them.

This is what I got..... Two year olds!!!
You can't say I didn't try.

Always eating

June 11, 2011

It really feels like these two are always eating! We don't have highchairs so for the most part they are just wonder around eating food. Making messes as they go:( I think I need some high chairs! We had one bumbo but they know how to get out so it doesn't do any good. The bibs they are wearing are my favorite! They were given to me by Ms. GB, a Durango HS teacher.

Day at the park

June 8, 2011

It was a beautiful day so we put the kids in the bike tailor and took a ride to the park. The park isn't close to our house at all so Ryan and I get a little workout and the kids have a fun ride

(win, win)

Lucy was such a doll! She has fun just sitting on the grass.

As for Levi.....

He HATES it!

Ezra likes to run around and ride the slides!

Unfortunately my camera died right after I took this photo:(

Ten months old

June 6, 2011

Two minutes in photo............three kids in one room.........

Lucy just outside her room

"Take a picture of ME Mommy!"

What a big boy!

And while a snapped a few pictures of the boys look what Lucy was doing........

WIPES!

Why do they all go for the wipes?

Then Levi got the ear drops

But he looks so innocent here!

Ezra reads to Lucy

She was done and he was not happy about it!

Levi gets stuck under the dresser

He got himself out and got what he wanted.

This was two minutes in a very small space, most of the time they are Everywhere getting into Everything! Yes, this was two minutes....can you see why I'm tired?

Levi- This is a skinny little guy for someone who is always eating! Seriously he always wants food and just to be with Mommy. He crawls everywhere, the only time he sits still is to eat. He has four teeth on the top and three on the bottom, which he uses to bite Mommy...not cool! He bites while he is nursing and when it's not his turn to eat he bites my knees.

Lucy- STANDING ON HER OWN......and STEPPING!!!! That is Lucy's BIG news for the month. She had been standing for a while and we were just waiting for those first little steps.....I told her one day "Just wait until Mommy and Daddy are both there to watch you take your first steps." And she did! I was standing in the kitchen and Ryan was sitting at the table, as we watched her take her first three little wabbly steps. She is also clapping. SO cute!

Ezra- This boy is cracking me up! Just tonight we had this conversation....

Me: Ezra, please eat your dinner.

Ezra: Just two seconds (I guess he hears that a little too often)
a little bit later
M: Ezra please eat your dinner

E: Two seconds
What have I taught my Child???

As he was coloring he told me he was coloring with Brennan (my sister, who was not at my house). A little while later my phone rang and he said, "Brennan!", It was not her. I asked him if he'd like to call Brennan and he said yes, then proceeded to yell..."Brennan, Brrreeennaaan."

Unfortunately, we've been teething lately and been sick (whole family). We got a nasty cold...the allergies haven't helped either. We were doing a lot better but the disease has decided it wasn't done with us:( There has been lots of WHINGING at my house. Here's hoping we are all healthy and happy soon!

Mohawk Mama

June 5, 2011

Lucy's hair is getting long. I love doing tiny ponytails! This is a picture of her right out of the bath sporting a mohawk. She totally pulls it off!

MORE S'mores!

May 14, 2011

As you know we (Ryan and I) don't give our children sugar. Why?

Ummmm.....

  1. Diabetes runs in the family

  2. It's not good for you

  3. It can lead to health/weight issues

  4. We want our children to like healthy foods and BE healthy

Need I say more?

Well we knew that we would start giving our kids A LITTLE sugar at a time as they get older.....so, here is Ezra enjoying some of his first sugar.....

S'MORES!

(or should I say s'more..he got one marshmallow and one graham cracker...NO CHOCOLATE!)
He thought it was pretty tasty! He wanted, more, more, MORE!

Sugar makes him a little wild....even more than normal....YIKES!!! We will be keeping the sugar to a minimum!

So I know there are several people out there (I WILL NOT name names) Who think it's a green light to give Ezra sugary junk now. The answer is NO! Sugar will still be very rare for him....If you want to give him a treat raisins and juice boxes are just like candy to this boy.

Something that is REALLY important to me is ingredients! I try to avoid (and do so almost completely) HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP and PARTIALLY or FULLY HYDROGENATED OIL. It is illegal to put these ingredients into food in Australia...ILLEGAL! I also try to avoid dye and other things as well. Look at your food labels....they sneak this stuff into EVERYTHING! Even applesauce!!! I spend a lot of time reading labels to try and buy the best foods. Don't get me wrong I like treats!!! I just buy ones with healthier ingredients or make them from scratch. I am happy to report that I have found graham crackers that do not have HFCS and or PHO! First is the Kroger brand of chocolate graham crackers, the "original" flavor have those "bad" ingredients but the chocolate ones don't, weird! And for some delicious regular grahams....TRADER JOE'S, just came out with some. YAY!

Ok, I'm getting off my soapbox now.

Mother's Day

May 8, 2011
(My new favorite holiday)

I had the most wonderful Mother's Day thanks to my amazing husband! I started off my morning with breakfast in bed.....

This waffle was made from scratch!

Beautiful flowers, cards and chocolates from all my loves.

Erza loves Mother's Day too......

He came and ate most of my bacon;) After breakfast I took a little nap, this is very rare!

Ryan and I spoke in church....why they asked me? Who knows!

Ryan also got me a gift card to get pedicures. Before my mom left we went together and had our toes done. Here is something CRAZY....My mom did NOT have a Mother's Day! How? Well she left here the day before Mother's Day and with all the travel time and time changes, she got to Australia the day after Mother's Day. CRAZY...Right?

I LOVE being a mom but most importantly I LOVE those who make me a mom!

Big Boy Bed!

May 7, 2011

We weren't sure how Ezra was going to handle leaving his crib and moving to a big bed. I had the bright idea of somehow making it special. And what is special to Ezra??????

LIGHTNING MC QUEEN!!!!

As you can see he loves his Mc Queen blanket!

The rule is that "the Mr. Mc Queen" blanket has to say in the room on the bed. Works like a charm! We haven't really had any problem s with the switch. We knew my family was coming to town so we put off playing musical beds until after they left. Ezra was given the blanket right before we took my mom to the airport.
I am happy to report that there are NO CHILDREN IN MY (our) ROOM!!!! Also we are getting more sleep....Oh, happy day!
